Well of the Slope

A brief stroll from Tobarín na Súl along the shores of Lough Hyne in West Cork leads to another holy well. The water from this well is both fresh and clear, celebrated for its reputed healing properties, especially for individuals with hearing difficulties. The traditional healing ritual involves the patient walking around the well ten times, dropping stones into its depths. Subsequently, they clean their ears with a cloth, which is then hung on the trees and shrubs surrounding the well.
